To that end, we have invested heavily in our shared servers, our VDS servers, and our network infrastructure. We have three datacenters in service currently. Two of these centers are in the U.S. - one in the West and one in the East. We also have just acquired space in the largest datacenter in the U.K. to help host some of our clients in that part of the world.

All OSC Hosting centers have redundant 72-hour power sources backed up by diesel generators. The centers also have multi-homed optical connections on the U.S. and U.K.'s largest network providers. The centers are also located in geographical areas not known for natural disasters - no hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, blizzards, or earthquakes to assail our centers' uptime.
Our servers are all top-of-the-line and hot-upgradable. This means that our servers can be upgraded any time with NO DOWNTIME. The SCSI RAID array we utilize is also hot-swappable. This means that even if one of our 12 hard drives fail, it can be swapped out while the server keeps running - again with no downtime. Our servers are fully managed and have remote boot capability - just in case. With redundant fault protection and power supplies, we've been able to achieve 99.8% uptime for over 500 days! The third party who measures this for us only measures over 500 days and our 99.8% Uptime Rating puts us in the top 4% of hosting companies in the world.
Each shared and VDS server is managed very carefully and monitored 24/7/365 to ensure the best experience for every client. We do not pack clients on servers like sardines like most other shared hosting providers. When we notice that performance begins to sag, we immediately order upgrades or create new servers.
